Sky

There are 2 main methods for rendering the sky in game..

	* The game generates the sky by combining information such as time of day and weather, with layered cloud images and starfield etc. If time is moving on your world, the sky replicates the current gametime - at night the sky is black, on a bright sunny day it is blue.

Weather

The weather on your world is determined by the current season (according to the game-date) and the values you use in the 'Landscape' weather settings. There is one setting for each season.. so, for instance, you can make it always snowy in winter and always sunny in summer.
